You will most likely experience balancing issues, performance issues, bugs and missing features. If you are looking for a complete gaming experience, I would recommend allowing some time before trying out the game. There are many YouTube game-plays showing the current state of game. I am the sole developer of the project, which I work on in my spare time as a passion project. I feel this is important to mention, so that those considering playing the game can make a more informed purchase decision. A full detailed list of the updates since launch can be viewed here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/418030/allnews/.Goals of the project:The aim is to integrate the kinds of base-resource micro-management typically found in RTS titles, into a boots-on-the-ground shooter. Each base has an underlying economy of power and raw materials that must be maintained and expanded in order to rise in dominance. The focus is not of primitive survival (although there are many elements during the early-game), but instead a focus on the base, its security, technology and resources. 1075eedd30 Title: SubsistenceGenre: Action, Early AccessDeveloper:ColdGamesPublisher:ColdGamesRelease Date: 25 Oct, 2016 Subsistence Keygen Free Download So I can understand the negative reviews for those that failed early. It is truly a difficult first few days in game. I read a few early guides about what you should be accomplishing - day 1, day 2 etc. Just triple that and you'll be a little closer. I put it down after the first couple of days as it was really frustrating. Press through and it changes significantly.Once you have a base up the game becomes more of what it should be for most. (I personally liked the challenge to have to survive those first few days). If you think you're not going to die 20 to 30 times. Find another game. Most of them are made way too scripted and easy - this game is not that. If you like to build, grow explore with not predetermined script - no zombies (thank god) - you wont find a better one. He updates this often and the track looks pretty impressive to me.Give it a chance I think its going to be great.. First let's start a movement in reviews. Instead of stars, rate it in $ you would be willing to pay. For me this is a $1. This game is a waste of time. While the visuals make is look like a reasonably modern game, it is very simplistic in how it operates. There are reviews saying that it is too hard. Or people who like the game say those who do not, do not like it because it is hard. This game is not hard. Within 5 minutes, you can figure it out. Here are my issues with the game:1. Simplistic - get within x distance of animal or AI enemy and they auto attack. As long as you stay at a proper distance, you will never have to engage. This may not sound that different from other games, but this is a hard set. A fraction to close, auto attack. Which brings me to the next point2. Any weapons you have will be little to no match for whatever is attacking you. Takes 2 pistol bullets to kill a chicken or rabbit! Does not matter where you aim (head shots mean nothing). The animals are literally just hit boxes. A shotgun will allow you to kill a level 1 wolf (yeah, why levels?) in 3 shots, 2 if your lucky. Distance doesn't seem to play factor, and as I just said, head shots do no more damage than shooting them in the tail.3. Levels - really are not needed in this game if they game would focus on the first two features. You basically need to kill a level 7 or 8 wolf from the confines of your base. But after shooting it once, it will run away. Shoot it outside your base, it will attack. So a simple back and forth between your base and outside will allow you to kill it assuming you can obtain enough ammo. 4. Enemy strength - A level 1 wolf will kill you in 2 bites. The wolf lunges before the bite. But there is no sidestepping this as it is an auto hit once he lunges. Doesn't matter if he is 10 feet away or right on top of you. If you only have the ax, this makes killing him nearly impossible.5. The game is a slog... You need to gather so many materials just to build the simplest of items. 1 tree will give you usually 3 but sometimes 4 logs, 3 hits of your ax per log. 3 logs will allow you to build 1 plank (??). 5 planks 1 wall, etc, etc...I spent 10 hours with 2 friends, we gave it a fair try. We were able to build a reasonably sized 2 story base. But the game has nothing to offer, as once your built you still have to keep looking for resources just to barely get by...6. Resources - There is wood, of course, but instead of cutting a tree down, you harvest it from a tree (tree remains there, you just can't get any wood for a set duration). There are a few plants, that randomly appear around the map. The strangest part of the game, are the bags that randomly appear. When I say randomly, it truly is. Sometimes they appear in your base, sticking out of trees or boulders. They contain random building materials. I feel these would not be necessary if the game was better balanced between the number of items you had to collect to building something. Ore appears as lumps on the ground that you can obtain, but there is no mining in this game where one finds large amounts of ore.On the positive side, it seems the devs are still working on it, so there is always hope.... Wow is all i have to say about this one. I would try and give it a few more hours. . .but yeah, not spending hours looking for plant fiber. . .when there are plants every where. . .let alone needing more than one bullet to kill a chicken. So, the game is pretty. That's really about it.The system for survival is unbalanced, the resources which could be used to survive, while right in front of you, can't be gathered or used. You apparently are too dumb to start a fire by hand. In order to find fiber (with plants all around you) you have to scour the ground for hours looking for some tiny brown looking plant. You can shoot a wolf\/dog (?) what ever they are point blank in the head and it keeps coming as if all you did was smack it with a news paper. (and yeah, I killed it, 10 rounds later)The resource gathering rate is extremely low, even on easy. The crafting requirements is absurdly high compared to the gathering potential. (4 pieces of wood per tree, yeah right.)I mean, if you want extreme survival and dying a lot, then this game might be for you. Otherwise, well it's just a waste of money with nice graphics. I think maybe the devs should go out in the wild with what they start you with and get some actual experience with the genre they are trying to emulate.. Winter spawn kills and wolves eat entire pistol magazines before two shooting you.... In game day 1: Help, there's a bear near my base, I'm trapped! In game day 25: There's a bear near my base, looks like bear is back on the menu!If you don't like having to gather materials and food a lot, this is a nice survival game that gives you good options for building a base and surviving.. I don't understand how this game possibly has any good reviews. You can eat 5 potato's and 7 deer within a 24 hour period and still starve to death. It's easier to craft bullets than arrows. You can also craft bullets out of thin air. 9mm handgun bullets do equivalent to 10 damage. Meaning you will likely need 2-3 clips on larger animals. This calculates to around 300+ bullets needed for the meat that is dropped to successfully stay above 30% hunger for 5 hours. Fishing requires larve which you get one per a rare tree you have to find. If the fishing is unsuccessful you will need to refind a new larva and recraft.. I would have to say that this is one of the better games out there. Yes it is grindy, but it is well worth it. I would totally recommend this game to the gamers that are into real survival games. I am sure there will be some more changes in the future and it is my belief that this game can only get better. Have fun!!. I REALLY dislike this game. The animals are SUPER op and you don't stand a chance if they see you, there is NO way to track your friends in co-op so I spent 3\/4 of my entire time on this game just LOOKING for my friend. Resources are near impossible to find and the weapons do literally 0 damage! I was looking for another The Forest or Rust to play but this is definitely not it! Do NOT buy this game!. PLEASE for the love of god do not buy this game. It looks like its good, but I bet they spawned in the items used. No map, difficulty is hard even when on normal or easy, everything is HORRIBLE!
